For more than four decades I have worked in a wide range of mediums bridging the gap between traditional art-making methods and digital technology. I embraced digital imaging back in 1986 more as an innovative enhancement to my own image-making processes. Having graduated from both the Ontario College of Art & Design (OCAD - Toronto) and The University of Guelph (BA) I have pursued a dedicated career in creating and teaching visual arts.

I have also participated in more than 90 exhibitions internationally, nationally and regionally showing in solo, juried, invitational and group shows.

My main interests revolve around printmaking, painting, drawing, photography and mixed-media sculpture.

I am not an academic!

Brian David Johnston:

TRADIGITAL ARTIST

I believe we live in shadow, half seeing this world and only half guessing about the next.

My paintings, drawings, prints and photographs are a means for making visible the invisible realities we share universally as human beings.
